I'm so proud to be one of the founding teachers at cambio. Yoga, Colorado Springs' only donation-based yoga studio. I helped open their doors in 2009 and have been honored to be part of the teacher training faculty ever since. With insipration and support from the owners and my friend Kate, I developed the Extended Format Yoga Teacher Training program.
In 2012 I met Bea Wilds, and in 2013 we joined forces to start Enso Prenatal, a company devoted to supporting mamas during the years surrounding birth. We offer yoga, workshops, and more for today's mama. We also support other woman & mama owned businesses so that they can be successful without having to choose whether to be a great mama or a great career woman. We believe in a Motherhood Revolution, where mamas can find the right mixture of career and motherhood. We work together in a doula practice supporting mamas and their partners during labor. I have had the great fortune to teach occasional classes and trainings at Root Center for Yoga and Sacred Studies, White Lotus Therapeutics, Island Yoga Space, Kindness Yoga, and Meta Yoga. I am proud to be on the teacher training faculty at Sumits Yoga and Devi Yoga for Women. |
My first yoga class was 32 years ago. I remember being ankle-deep in crab grass, saluting the sun.
I started teaching yoga and group fitness in high school, continued in college, and then meandered away to try my luck as a nonprofit professional. In 2008, my body started telling me I was on the wrong path, so I started following my own North Star. At the end of 2011 I retired from my other life and now spend my days helping others find joy and meaning in their lives. I teach yoga, lead workshops, teacher trainings, and work with new and expecting mamas to ease their transition into motherhood. I partner with Jen at Anatomy for Yogis to lead retreats & continuing education programs for yoga teachers. We're called Lighthearted Yoga Anatomy, so you know we're lots of fun! |
I have thousands of hours of teaching experience and am an E- RYT 500, as well as a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT). I have completed a 25 hour Mom and Me yoga training. I studied neuroscience and medical anthropology in college. Additionally, I have a Master's Degree in Nonprofit Management.
